A webinar registration page has about ten jobs to do, and most pages do six of them. This scores yours against the ten that matter, weighted by how much each one tends to move signups, and tells you which three to fix first. Tick what your page already has.

This is a completeness score against ten things that reliably matter, not a predicted conversion rate. Two of the weights come from figures we publish elsewhere: a host video is associated with roughly 80 percent higher conversion, and action-specific button copy with a 5 to 12 percent lift. The rest are ranked by how much they tend to matter in practice. One deliberate omission: asking for a phone number typically costs 20 to 30 percent of your registrations, but it also unlocks text reminders, which are the strongest lever on attendance. That is a trade, not a mistake, so it is not scored here.

How the weights were set

Two of the ten carry numbers we publish elsewhere. A 60 to 90 second host video is associated with roughly 80 percent higher conversion than the same page without one, which is why it is the heaviest single item on the list. Action-specific button copy is worth a 5 to 12 percent lift, which is real but smaller, so it scores accordingly. The headline outranks both because everything else on the page is read through it.

The remaining weights are ranked by how much they tend to matter rather than by a measured figure, so treat the score as a completeness check rather than a forecast. A page scoring 90 is not guaranteed to beat a page scoring 70. It is doing more of the things that usually work.

One item is deliberately unscored. Asking for a phone number at registration typically costs 20 to 30 percent of your signups, and it also unlocks text reminders, which lift live attendance more than anything else available to you. Fewer registrants, more of them in the room. Which side of that trade is right depends on whether your problem is signups or attendance, so the scorecard leaves it to you.

What to do with the score

Work the fix list from the top, since the items are ordered by weight. Our registration page best practices guide covers each element with examples, including the above-the-fold structure and the button copy tests worth running first.

Once the page is doing its job, the next question is how many of those registrants actually turn up. The show-up rate estimator works that out and names your biggest attendance lever, and the webinar funnel diagnostic compares every stage from registration to purchase. For the wider picture, the webinar funnel strategy guide maps all six stages, and the webinar payback calculator works out what the whole funnel needs to earn.
